29th Annual Father’s Day Smoke & Steam Show
Sunday, June 21st ~ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Enjoy the Kawarthas’ original tractor show!
Featuring:
- Tractor and wagon rides
- Engine displays
- Traditional music by Appalachian Celtic
- Demonstrations by the Peterborough Artisan Centre Wood Turners & Kawartha Woodturners Guild
- Bewdley Lions Club Food Truck selling lunch and breakfast ($- CASH ONLY)
- Craft area
- Natural dyeing demonstration
- Tractor games and slow races beginning at 12 noon
- Old-fashioned schoolyard games
- Empire Cheese curd, fresh bread, and pickles for sale in the Cheese Factory ($)
- Freshly popped kettle corn by Ben’s Kettle Corn ($)
- Rope-making demonstration
- Grinding demonstrations at the Lang Grist Mill
- Sweet treats and refreshments (including old-fashioned bottled sodas) are available for purchase at the Keene Hotel ($)
- Pie-eating contest on the Village Green at 2 pm (limited spaces available)
- Model train display
- Pancakes on a stick by Lea’s Creations ($)
- Junior Conductor kits for purchase for little ones, which include a conductor’s hat, bandana, and wooden train whistle ($)
- Tractor parade through the historic village beginning at 3:15 pm
Visitors are encouraged to bring cash as there is no ATM on-site.
Admission: Adults- $17, Students & Seniors (60+) – $12, Youths 5 to 14 Years of Age – $9, Free for Children Under 5 Years of Age, Family Pass (includes 2 Adults and up to 4 Youths) – $45

Please note: Special activities are subject to change due to weather, materials, volunteer availability and unforeseen circumstances. Last admission is 3 pm, but we recommend you give yourself a minimum of 2 hours for your visit. On-site parking is available on a first come first served basis. Overflow parking is available at McIntyre Park.

Meet Our 2026 Smoke & Steam Show Ambassador – Meg Sturgeon
Meg Sturgeon is a grade 11 student at Thomas A. Stewart Secondary School in Peterborough. For the past 15 years she has been a dedicated volunteer at Lang Pioneer Village Museum, taking on a number of roles. Some of her favorites include teaching visitors historical games on the village green, cooking and baking over an open hearth in the Fitzpatrick, leading crafts in the Ayotte cabin and interpreting in many of the buildings in the village. Meg is also an active air cadet with 534 Raider RCACS, where she holds the positions of social media manager and drill team commander. She loves drawing, hiking, and cooking. Meg is looking forward to welcoming everyone to Lang Pioneer Village Museum’s 29th Annual Father’s Day Smoke & Steam Show.
