Plan Your Visit

Step back 200 years in time at Lang Pioneer Village Museum! Here are a couple of tips in order to help you make the most out of your experience:

Dress in comfortable footwear and weather-appropriate clothing
Please remember that the Village is an outdoor museum and set up in a fashion that is typical of a 19th-century settlement.

Give yourself lots of time
It takes approximately two hours to thoroughly tour the Village and to fully enjoy the demonstrations and interpretations with the costumed villagers. For special events, the required time may increase.

Bring your questions
Our historical interpreters are knowledgeable and willing to answer any question you may have.

Break up your day with lunch

Bring your own picnic lunch to eat under our picnic shelter or at any number of picnic tables in front of the Village. If you need a snack or refreshment during your visit, stop by our Snack Booth for a refreshing drink, snack or Kawartha Dairy ice cream!

Most importantly: Have fun!
