Spurtle Carving Workshop
Sunday, October 15 ~ 10 am to 12 noon
Learn to carve a spurtle for your kitchen under the direction of a master carver. What is a spurtle? A spurtle is a wooden Scottish kitchen tool, dating from the 15th century, that is used to stir porridge, soups, stews and broths. The rod-like shape means that porridge can be stirred without congealing and forming lumps, unlike a spoon which has a dragging effect during stirring. There is a maximum of 25 participants for this workshop.
Cost: $15 + HST per person
