Events run rain or shine. Special activities are subject to change due to weather, materials, volunteer availability and unforeseen circumstances. In the event of extreme circumstances which require cancellation, a notice will be posted on our social media pages.

Mother's Day Tea

Sunday, May 3 ~ 12:45 pm to 2:30 pm

Join us for a cozy afternoon of tea, treats, and quality time with your mom to celebrate an early Mother's Day! Treat Mom to an enchanting Mother’s Day Tea in the Peterborough County Agricultural Heritage Building and enjoy an assortment of teas, sandwiches, scones with homemade jam, and treats. Doors open at 12:45 pm and tea begins promptly at 1:00 pm. Seating will be assigned so you can be assured that your group will be together. Advance booking is required as there are only 60 seats available.

29th Annual Father’s Day Smoke & Steam Show

Sunday, June 21 ~ 10 am to 4 pm

Enjoy the Kawarthas’ original tractor show featuring power equipment displays, tractor games, vintage farm trucks, tractor & wagon rides, and more. The day concludes with a huge tractor parade through the village.

29th Annual Transportation Day Car & Motorcycle Show

Sunday, July 12 ~ 10 am to 4 pm

Car enthusiasts from across Ontario showcase their antique & classic cars and vintage motorcycles in the historic village with over 25 awards to be won. Enjoy historic demonstrations, live music, wagon rides, and much more.

Applefest

Sunday, September 27 ~ 10 am to 4 pm

Tempt your taste buds with the sweetest event of the year! Enjoy a colourful fall celebration of apples and the harvest. See the Cider Mill in full operation, enjoy wagon rides, live music, historic demonstrations, apple treats, games, and so much more.

Echoes of Ireland: Tea & Talk

Thursday, October 1 ~ 1 pm to 3 pm

Join us in the historic Fitzpatrick House for Echoes of Ireland, an immersive Tea & Talk experience exploring the lives of Irish settlers in the 19th-century. Guests will uncover stories of migration, resilience, and daily life, while enjoying historical dishes inspired by early Irish recipes by the warmth of the Fitzpatrick hearth. Advance registration is required. Space is limited to 10 participants. Tickets are $50 each and are non-refundable.

Spooky All Hallows’ Eve

Friday & Saturday, October 23 & 24 ~ 6 pm to 9 pm

Enjoy an evening of fun and games as we introduce you to the origins of some of our favourite Halloween traditions. The historic village transforms into an array of spooky-fun scenes from ghostly graveyards to witches’ lairs. Featuring fortune telling, tractor and wagon rides, and more, this all-ages event is sure to get you into the Halloween spirit.

Christmas Bazaar & Raffle

Saturday, November 21 ~ 9 am to 2 pm

Get a head start on your Christmas shopping and support local this holiday season! This indoor/outdoor Christmas market offers a fine selection of local and handmade gifts and festive decorations, and features a large raffle with many gift baskets, handmade gift items, and fully-decorated trees to be won.

Christmas by Candlelight

Sunday, December 6 ~ 4 pm to 8 pm

Get into the merriment of the season with a traditional pioneer Christmas. Join along in a carol sing, tour the village by wagon ride, meet Father Christmas, and learn about the origins of Christmas traditions we celebrate today. Delight in the sights, sounds and smells of the holiday season with us!
