Christmas by Candlelight

Sunday, December 8th ~ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Get into the merriment of the season with a traditional Pioneer Christmas. Delight in the sights, sounds and smells of the holiday season!

Featuring:

  • Horse-drawn wagon rides
  • Shop in the Christmas market
  • Learn about Christmas celebrations over the years
  • Join in a carol sing
  • Meet Father Christmas
  • Village carollers
  • Join John Collins and Fiddling J, two lumberjacks who are away from their families for Christmas in the north woods, as they sing traditional shanties and Christmas songs, perform jigs and reels and tell the festive story of The Flying Canoe
  • Broom making demonstrations
  • Jingle bell craft for kids
  • Witness a live nativity performed by members of the Keene United Church (7 pm Sunday only)

In the giving spirit of the season, on both evenings, please bring one or more non-perishable food item(s) to donate to the Otonabee-South Monaghan Food Cupboard (drop off in the Museum Shop).
