Our storied past brought to life from First Nation’s oral tradition to Peterborough’s pioneer authors and poets. Experience part of the cultural history of Peterborough County during a twilight guided tour of the stories of the Michi Saagiig, Catherine Parr Traill, Susanna Moodie and others. During the walk you will hear from an Anishinaabe storyteller, as well as from those pioneer Canadian authors and poets who lived and wrote in the County of Peterborough. Notes: The walks will begin in the Visitor Centre (Museum Shop) where the greeter will introduce the night’s program. At that time, director and playwright Mark Finnan will lead the group out to begin the presentation on the Museum grounds. Washrooms are available in the Visitor Centre. In the event of adverse weather, attempts will be made to reschedule those who have booked into vacancies on other evenings (where available). A refund will be offered in the event that rescheduling is not possible.
